Now the oldest BMW in the lineup, the current 3 Series has soldiered on since 2005 with little change outside of a midlife refresh.
In a move that will decidedly shake up its lineup’s nomenclature, BMW is planning to morph its 1 Series and 3 Series two door coupes and convertibles into 2 Series and 4 Series models respectively, at least according to report from the U.K.
