Swedish automaker Volvo has finally stopped teasing fans and the automotive press with dribbles of information and released full mechanical details on its Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid which debuted earlier this year at the Geneva Motor show.
Volvo is currently rolling out three car safety technologies--City Safety, Pedestrian Airbag, and Pedestrian Detection--as part of its goal that "By 2020, nobody shall be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo".
Peter Horbury, Volvo's Design Chief, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Design—for Chinese automaker Geely, which currently owns the Swedish carmaker.
